fall 2006 issue- vol I

Rogue Poetry Review

A note from the editor:

It is a pleasure to share with you the first issue of Rogue Poetry Review.

When I first undertook this project, I had no idea what kind of work could be attracted with a call for submissions. Nor could I anticipate how many writers would respond and take the risk of submitting to a completely new venue, not knowing from any history or experience, what exactly I was looking for. I have to say I am pleased with the response for a first issue.

There were many other very worthwhile submissions besides those included herein. Still, it is the job of an editor to find the appropriate voice for publication and the only way to do that is through the selection of the work chosen for inclusion.

There are, in my estimation some very strong voices here. While I could say something very nice about each of the works I selected, I would rather let them stand on their own merit and speak to you directly.
I will say that the writers included represent a broad background of experience and achievement. To the best of my knowledge, a collective of something like 25 books and a Pushcart nomination are representative of these poets.

I want to thank each poet for the contribution of your own artistic creations to this collaborative end, the first edition of Rogue Poetry Review.
